My name is Alberto Nieto, I am an experienced full stack developer that loves coding websites in PHP.

I have completed studies in Philosophy, Political Science and Computer Science.

On my free time, I am involved in several sociopolitical initiatives.

Academia

I studied Philosophy (BSc+MSc) at the Autonomous University of Barcelona and Political Science (MSc) at the National Distance Education University. My research interests focus on political philosophy and on the analysis of ideology and discourse in liquid modern societies.

Programming

I graduated as Senior Technician in Networks & Computer Systems Management at Open Institute of Catalonia. I work as a web developer for a creative leadership school in Amsterdam. The technologies I work with are PHP object-oriented, MySQL, JavaScript-jQuery and HTML5-CSS3.

Activism

I am co-founder and coordinator of the Expat Solidarity Network in the Netherlands, former elected member of the Spanish Residents Council in the Netherlands, former member of the Validating Council at DiEM25 and former socio-political analyst on Latin American social transformation initiatives at XminY.

Programming

I've been programming in PHP for over 11 years (Laravel, Wordpress, Moodle). I have solid knowledge in MySQL. My favorite version control system is Git, although I've also worked with SVN.

I'm a fan of the Agile methodology.
